The thermal mud of Abano and Montegrotto obtained a European Patent.

The thermal mud of Abano and Montegrotto has become a pharmaceutical product with a European Patent.

European patent number 1571203 “Anti-inflammatory active principles in Euganean thermal mud” guarantees the presence of numerous active ingredients in thermal mud, produced naturally during a controlled process of maturation.

Scientific research carried out by the patent holder and research centre, Centro Studi Termali Pietro d’Abano, has allowed for its identification and has proven its efficacy in the treatment of chronic and degenerative inflammatory disorders, particularly of osteoarticular origin.

From a hydrogeological point of view, our territory is rich in ipothermal waters and mud which boast an uninterrupted healing action that has been going on for about 27 centuries.

After a slow maturation process, the mud becomes a medical substance with lasting healing effects.

Stronger than aspirin, less intrusive than Aulin and with no collateral effects, the mature Euganean Thermal mud is so efficient against inflammations as to be recognized as a pharmaceutical medicine by the European Patent Office.

After eleven years of professional and passionate research using ample human and economic resources, mud therapy in the Euganean Spas has a certified and recognized label.

The active principles extracted from the algae of which our mud is composed, have been evaluated at all levels and are proven to be a real medicine.

The thermal mud of Abano and Montegrotto Terme has become a pharmaceutical product with a European Patent. When it comes to mud and bath therapy, we have reached the very top.

Health and well-being at the 1° place, a natural and certified treatment!
